When a quaint cafe sits at full capacity and the host adds your name to a waiting list, you know you’ve arrived at the right place.
Perched on the corner of one of the Northern Quarter’s many quirky streets, Federal Cafe offers its customers unique antipodean charm with all-day brunch in a relaxed atmosphere.
The menu, although simple, is well executed, consisting of fresh locally sourced ingredients cooked to a high standard with a great balance of sweet and savoury to appeal to everyone’s brunching needs.
There isn’t much scope to get it wrong, but if you’re after something a little different, try the French Toast (pictured above) and brace yourself for the salted caramel pot – it really is a thing of beauty.
As for drinks, coffee is rightfully the focal point of the menu and is sourced from London-based coffee makers, Ozone Coffee. Choose anything from a Cappuccino to an Iced Americano.
If you’re after something a little softer and sweeter on your palate, try the Chai Latte – or a Mocha Martini for those wanting to take the edge off.
